This Linux gaming situation can't be improved in an 'easy' way. To make the situation better you have to get out there and start coding! A few really cool Linux games to check out are: Sauerbraten Nexuiz Battlke for Wesnoth The Mana World and quite a few more! If you wish to run Windows games on linux use wine which stands for wine is not an emulator. I can't remember the address so just google 'wine'.

the thing with quake wars is that apparently, the linux kernel supports it a lot more than the windows kernel plus it is standardly better supported by linux(i dont know y )

but windows offers simplicity of hardcore gaming with linux, you have to literally hack the games to play them so much effort... i like dual boot systems:)

Not always and for the really hardcore geeks out there it's fun to hack the games. Dual boots just ain't cool... If your grub has a bug in it you will soon find yourself booting from a live disc to fix it or if you ain't as experienced as I you could just be swearing at Linux and going crazy.
